The page used to contain a contact form. It no longer does so owing to a nasty, sad, and technically weak hacker with the email address jrubin3546@aol.com who seems to think using the form to try to send 40 spam messages a day is clever.

Why no email address ?

One of the biggest problems of running a website is the volume of junk email (a.k.a. "Spam" ) that you get from it. Most webmasters want to get feedback from visitors, and the logical way of achieving this is via Email. Unfortunately, owing to nasty Spam trawlers snooping round the internet looking for addresses it is no longer possible to put a simple email address on a website - doing so gets you put on lots of trashy mailing lists very quickly.

The classic means to avoid this is to provide a 'Feedback Form'. This hides the webmaster's email address but is inconvenient for visitors.

The tiny Java applet shown above is a simple but effective way of defeating the trawlers. My address is clear enough to any person, but does not appear in the HTML code that trawlers scan.
